I live in Surrey and work in Surrey, the London Region and surrounding counties (Kent, Surrey, Berks, Herts and Essex). I sometimes work further afield depending on the circumstances. It is difficult for an ecologist to work in an area where we have no 'local' knowledge. We have to spend longer undertaking desk studies and making local contacts. It is usually best to employ an ecologist who is familiar with your local area.

Furesfen was established in 1997. I advise a wide range of clients on the nature conservation interest of sites and commenting on the impact of projects. These include recreational projects through to developments; assisting in site assessments; production of management plans; preparation of mitigation strategies, and consultation with statutory authorities.
